Dawn of the work [Jul. 6th, 2004|06:32 pm]
Last night worked on my thesis till 4am, decided on finishing it, and my hard headedness was awarded cause managed to complete it and had a printed copy in my hands by 4.30am :-))

Since this morning was work as usual, assumed i'd be sleepwalking, but not only wasnt I effected by sleep, but actually had a very busy day and managed to zap through, all the same.

So over all was a good and productive day.....

So right.... [May. 16th, 2004|12:10 pm]
The Fool Card
You are the Fool card. The Fool fearlessly begins
the journey into the unknown. To do this, he
does not regard the world he knows as firm and
fixed. He has a seemingly reckless disregard
for obstacles. In the Ryder-Waite deck, he is
seen stepping off a cliff with his gaze on the
sky, and a rainbow is there to catch him. In
order to explore and expand, one must disregard
convention and conformity. Those in the throes
of convention look at the unconventional,
non-conformist personality and think What a
fool. They lack the point of view to understand
The Fool's actions. But The Fool has roots in
tradition as one who is closest to the spirit
world. In many tribal cultures, those born with
strange and unusual character traits were held
in awe. Shamans were people who could see
visions and go on journeys that we now label
hallucinations and schizophrenia. Those with
physical differences had experience and
knowledge that the average person could not
understand. The Fool is God. The number of the
card is zero, which when drawn is a perfect
circle. This circle represents both emptiness
and infinity. The Fool is not shackled by
mountains and valleys or by his physical body.
He does not accept the appearance of cliff and
air as being distinct or real. Image from: Mary

Back from Bulgaria [Apr. 1st, 2004|07:29 pm]
For a long awaited update. I'm back from Bulgaria, it was a work trip but managed to make the most of it ;-) The place is strictly non english speaking, very few ppl can actually blatter something in english, even at the four star hotel i was staying...disgrace.

Still the place is nice, though it permeates their low standard of living. A lot of the things to see are conveniently situated along one long main road, making sight seeing a breeze.

Traffic is chaotic, yet the horn or obscene words are rarely used, and considering in a two lane road u find three cars millimeters from one another is quite a feat, or at least would be in Malta.

To make some money the easiest way apparently is to convert your car in a taxi, so one can see all kinds of cars, many scrap yard models etc, serving as taxis, everywhere is covered in yellow taxis.

There is a tendency to overcharge foreigners, so be wary for those intent on going there. Thing is, the exchange rate is so favourable, ie, 1 LEVA = LM0.20 that u don't even bother to haggle most of the time.

Food is interesting and inexpensive. Since i like trying local stuff when abroad, i indulged in all the local dishes i could get my hands on, (or rather understand names of, from menu). Lived like a millionaire all week, with Champagne, Black caviar etc etc I should emigrate to such a country :-P

Now to the most important details to male readers out there... the girls :-) well, incredibly, obese persons are extremely rare. Dont know if its the quality of the food or the lack of it, but almost all girls had a great looking figure, though actual pretty faces where not as common as expected. Though people of both sexes looked older than actually were. Having said that, Clubs and discos where full of naked beauties and the highest incidence of english speaking knowledge.

Made friends over there and have been shown around to some hidden gems like restaurants and discos, and there is more than meets the eye in the place, so yes i want to go back again, maybe this time when there s a little snow for a bit of skiing.....

Does life come equipped with a handbreak ? [Mar. 1st, 2004|07:00 pm]
Weekends have been wicked on a crescendo, and the level of busy is also on a high. Could these two be directly related I ask.... Everything is going by at lightning speed n everything is a blur of colours (though must admit, some of it might be alcohol induced) but damn we re already in March. I finally manage to throw this note on LJ whilst speeding by.

MSN is the life saver of the day, should there be an Oscars award for software(possibly with green statuettes to keep with the theme :)), this would be the one, the winner. This little window to the world. Anybody with other software close to the heart is very welcome to nominate, other awards for grabs ......

This year we' re going bananas...... [Jan. 21st, 2004|10:56 pm]
Happy new years eve to all....

Tomorrow start of chinese new year..... Monkey year.... forecasts say to expect the unexpected and undercurrent of instability in economy, governments n international politics.... Could this mean the EU issue?? Weirdly accurate stuff.

Yesterday was great fun meeting u all, though we probably got on the blacklist of that waitress. HEHE

Also rekindled interest to start diving again, thanks to szc001. Was one of the things i said, next week i'll go, then the other, and a year crept slowly by.

Today was really furious cause somebody (who i suspect knows me) hacked into my hotmail account, luckily not one i use for msn though tell me if u receive any strange mails from an account resembling my name. It was strange seeing myself (or rather my account) log on and off (since i kept in contacts list) .... If i get to know the person he/she is deadmeat!!!
